Premier Divorce and Family Law Attorneys in Texas
Don't settle for a divorce that ruins your family and drains your finances.
Start with a free case evaluation, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Custody cases most often go wrong because of the attorneys handling the case, and the techniques (or lack of techniques) that are used in the case. We are different from other law firms because we specialize in divorce and family law, know the legal roadblocks, and will guide you through the daunting process with a personalized strategy.
The Ultimate Guide to Child Custody
We work with our clients to resolve child custody disputes and develop visitation and parenting plans. Under Georgia law, the court that issues the divorce order is the court that will have jurisdiction over child custody issues. If the parents are unable to agree on parenting arrangements, the court will make its decision with the best interest of the child or children as the primary consideration. The divorce lawyers at Vayman & Teitelbaum, P.C. can help guide you through this important process and advocate for your parental rights.
Physical Child Custody
Our child custody attorneys will advise you about how the factors listed above and your individual circumstances will inform the court’s reasoning in resolving a child custody dispute and developing a parenting plan. For example, there are serious implications if a parent wants primary physical custody, but plans to move out of state. A common child custody arrangement is one where one parent is awarded primary physical custody and the other parent, known as the noncustodial parent, will have physical custody of the child or children every other weekend, every other holiday, one or two nights per week, and an extended vacation under the parenting plan.
